Cartographic/GIS Staff Required

Mfatech Maps provide solutions and products to a wide range of customers ranging from Interactive Maps to GIS packages, Journey Planning Solutions and Database management solutions. We are expanding rapidly and urgently seek additional freelance staff.

We are looking for versatile cartographers with a wide range of skills.

Proficiency in the use of the following software is essential:
  • A GIS Package such as Arc GIS for Desktop (Arc Editor) or Quantum GIS
Regular essential duties:
  • Create mapping products as shapefiles
  • Create mxd files
  • Create sld files
Proficiency in the use of the following software and production areas is desirable:
  • Illustrator
  • Map Publisher
  • Photoshop
  • Knowledge of print
  • Arc GIS Server
  • Geoserver
Desirable skills:
  • Convert gml to mxd files
  • Convert mxd to sld files
  • Create mapping products as AI files
  • Importing and tidying shp files in Illustrator
  • Interact with various map related packages and solutions
You must be UK based.

Your rates must be reasonable and all of your programming must be on a work for hire basis with IPR passing to Mfatech by default.
