Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Urban Greenspace Mapping

The Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Structure Plan Joint Committee have used the OS MasterMap topographical layer, together with OS AddressPoint data in a different and innovative way to produce their Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Urban Greenspace Mapping.
The map provides an effective and efficient planning tool and makes it possible for government and other organisations to better understand the quality, quantity and character of green space resources and its distribution. It also enable s the relationship between green space amd other social, economic and environmental datasets to be analysed, thus creating and intelligent dataset for shared use.

Bob Lilley from Ordnance Survey presents the OS MasterMap Award for Better Mapping to the BCS President Seppe Cassettari on Glasgow's behalf.
