The University of Leicester is a leading UK University with a proud past and an exciting future. We deliver high quality undergraduate, postgraduate and professional education and create research that has impact internationally.
It is a very exciting time to study Geography at Leicester. You will join a friendly, vibrant, busy and research-active department and be able to immediately start studying in our brand new, state-of-the-art physical geography laboratory, or you could immerse yourself in a virtual projection of an urban landscape in our VR theatre or in our rainfall tower, studying the processes of erosion.
You will have opportunities to travel far and wide with a large choice of field courses, which are still heavily subsidised by the University. Our field courses may take you to the Amazon, Mojave Desert in California, New York and Spain. A very recent development is the year abroad degree – you could spend the third year of your degree in Canada or the USA.
