He is not really a cartographer but rather a geographer, with a particular interest in GIS and cartographic databases. After a few years in the datasales department at Bartholomew, he founded XYZ with Mark Fairbairn in 1998. Since then they have developed a wide range of specialities from software to GIS databases, including the new www.peoplesmap.com venture.
