Digital resources

• Multi-Agency Geographic Information for the Countryside (MAGIC). A one-stop shop for rural and countryside information
• The Bodleian Library maintains a page of Web with useful information
• Discovery Metadata Service A successor to the GIgateway (previously ask giraffe), a locator for various sets of geographical data
• There are a number of projects which involve the digitisation of paper maps taking place. A list of such projects in GB is being compiled by Anne Taylor at the instigation of BRICMICS. Information on projects that should be added to the list is very welcome (contact details here)

Dealing with Digital Data

• There is a lot of useful information on the website for JISC Digital Media (previously Technical Advisory Service for Images, TASI), a service that gives advice on digitisation issues to the higher education community
