Mr Ken Atherton
Mr Ken Atherton For 38 years Ken worked for the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) where, apart from six years in the post of Curator of Original Documents, his time was divided almost equally between compiling Admiralty charts and aerial photography. In 2001 Ken took early retirement and, not wishing to get bored, applied for the post of Society’s Administrator which he held for eight years.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Society for Nautical Research, the Naval Historical Collectors & Research Association, the Defence Surveyors’ Association and the South West Maritime History Society.
