Following on from our recent successful advertisement, T-Kartor GB are happy to announce a further expansion.

With a number of new clients and exciting opportunities on the horizon, T-Kartor GB is looking to build a small group of reliable Freelancers/Contractors, to be called upon as workflows demand. As such, we would be interested to hear from people with expertise in the following areas:
  • Cartography (traditional)
  • Cartographic Editorial work and proof reading
  • GIS analysis, production and development
  • Web mapping portal development
  • App development and production on Apple IOS and Android platforms
  • Military mapping, especially those with current or recent security clearances
These skills are not inter-dependent, and we welcome applications from freelancers and contractors proficient in one, or more, of the above areas.

You must have...
  • A track record of delivering work of the highest quality and accuracy whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Your own computer and software (legal versions only, please: we may require proof of this). For traditional cartography, this must be fully interoperable with Adobe CS3 products.
  • EU nationality, or the right to work/travel within the EU.
  • The legal setup to deal with your own administrative, tax and National Insurance issues.
  • The ability and willingness to occasionally travel (generally to London or South East England) at fairly short notice if required.
Please submit your CV &/or examples of your work (web links or PDFs are fine), together with a letter or document containing the following information:
  • An indication of which of the areas of work you are applying to be considered for.
  • A list of your Hardware and relevant Software, including versions, together with an indication of your back-up systems in case of a computer crash.
  • Your Company name and Registration number (if applicable) or employment status
  • A rough indication of your general availability (eg: 10 hours/week, require 2weeks notice, can only work every other Thursday). We are aware this will be quite hard to answer.
  • An hourly rate (this can be different for different tasks if you so choose), and breakdown of any other costs or other pricing considerations. Some jobs will be offered on an hourly basis, others on a pre-agreed job-cost.
  • A list of any other clauses or conditions that you may have when undertaking freelance assignments.
Note that previous job applicants do not need to resubmit CVs if they do not wish to, but should indicate this fact on their application.

Further information regarding the type and frequency of work available will only be discussed with successful applicants. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be discarded. No correspondence will be entered into, and only successful applicants will be contacted.

Rich Perkins, at No phone calls or agencies, please.
