  • The Haringey Archives include:
    Official records of Haringey Council and its predecessor authorities (Tottenham, Wood Green and Hornsey) Parish records (except Parish Registers). Rate books. Admission Registers and Log Books for many local schools. Records of local organisations, businesses and societies. Census returns for Tottenham, Wood Green and Hornsey (on microfilm) Special collections of material relating to Alexandra Palace and the Prince of Wales Hospital.
  • The Local History Collection includes:
    Books printed on the history of the area. Pamphlets and periodicals produced by local organisations covering the Haringey area. An extensive run of local street directories. Electoral registers dating from 1890 onwards. Local Newspapers. Ordnance Survey and other old maps of the area. Photographs, postcards and prints illustrating Haringey's past. We are happy to help anybody who is interested in the Borough's past history and continuing development. Access to the Archive Search Room is by appointment only and is open to the general public, free of charge. You do not need a reader's ticket. An adult must accompany a child under the age of 14 when visiting the search room to carry out a school project.

Content: Approx. 2,000 sheets covering areas within the London Borough of Hounslow from the 17th century to the present day. All editions of OS maps at scales 1:1,250 and 1:2,500, and some editions of 1:10,560.

The LAYTON COLLECTION contains historical street maps of central London (16th to 19th centuries).

A collection of aerial photographs for the Hounslow area (from ca.1921 to date). A small number of local aerial photographs, dating from 1917, are included in the library's local photograph collection.

A collection of air photographs of Brentford and Chiswick (from ca.1929 to date). A small number of local aerial photographs, dating from ca.1929, are included in the library's local photograph collection.
