Hello, I work with the management of topographical maps held in a scientific museum library and would much appreciate any ideas from other map librarians about access provided to users. Do you use mainly paper maps or do you provide electronic access and if so, how does this operate? It would be great to hear from you Thanks very much John
Suggest you go into the JISC lists at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/index.htm and join lis-maps and post this query there. This is a list which is subscribed to by many map libarians and other interested parties. You should with a bit of luck get and answer.
