The DSA supported by the HMMG is organising a visit to Peninsula Barracks, Winchester on Wednesday 7 November. The visit will include four talks. With the centenary of the Armistice rapidly approaching, three of the talks will concern the Great War (WL Bragg by Robin Marshall, the American Expeditionary Force by Mike Nolan and the Western Front 1918 by Peter Chasseaud). The fourth will concern the Second World War (Alamein - which has been called in essence a 1918 battle and whose anniversary falls on the day - by John Peaty). There will be an opportunity to tour the superb Gurkha Museum and an excellent Gurkha curry will be available. The event is expected to be popular and places are limited.
The cost will be £30 including lunch and refreshments.
