Research Associate in Human Geography – Mapping Multiculture (2 years)

Dr Katy Bennett and Dr Stefano De Sabbata are searching for a Research Associate in Human Geography to develop and carry out research at the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment of the University of Leicester on a Leverhulme Trust funded project called ‘Mapping Multiculture’. The post is a fixed-term 24-month contract.

The project will creatively explore, geovisualise and map how Leicester is experienced. The appointed researcher will take a leading role in experimental research design, interviewing, data collection and analysis and contribute to the geovisualisation, mapping work, presentation and writing up of the project in line with reaching the research goals of the project.

With a PhD in a relevant subject, you will have experience and in-depth knowledge of GIScience or quantitative social media analysis. You will have experience of designing and conducting interviews or surveys and be able to provide evidence of quality research output.
