Fellowship of the British Cartographic Society is bestowed upon members who have made a significant contribution to the cartographic profession and/or have been long-standing members of the Society.

Our Fellows can use the post-nominal FBCartS and are invited to special events, including exclusive visits, lunches and talks.

Candidates for the BCS Fellowship must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in cartography, which could include periods spent in higher education, practice, management or research. You must also have been a member of the Society for at least two years.

If you have been a member of the Society for 25 years or more, Fellowship may be conferred without recourse to peer review.
