Liverpool Town Maps and Dock Estate Plans
Early maps of Liverpool date from Chadwick's map of 1725. The main focus of the collection is Liverpool & Birkenhead Dock Estate Plans from 1825 onwards. For more details see the information sheets on maps (number 46) and dock plans (number 56) on our website.
Sea Charts
The main bulk of the Sea Charts Collection is in the form of unbound miscellaneous Admiralty Charts (various 1810-1970). Also included is a large selection of local charts of Liverpool Bay 1764-1980, miscellaneous charts and a world-wide collection of bound Admiralty Charts in the records of the Liverpool Underwriters Association (D/LUA). The latter are held at our reserve store, please telephone in advance for an appointment.
