Circa 1,470 sheets and 2,088 Stamford Estate plans. Early printed maps of the area, and a range of OS maps. Small collection of manuscript maps of local industries, public undertakings, etc. The STAMFORD ESTATE COLLECTION contains plans from 1820 to 1930 (mainly street works, but some railway plans). Some modern air photographs of Tameside, and c.1960 for Stalybridge.

Publications include a Guide to the Archive Collection (1983).
