OS 1st and 2nd editions of 1:500 and 1:2,500 for county of Bristol; tithe maps for part of the Archdeaconery of Bristol; Plans of public utilities (1802- ); Parliamentary Act's plans (1852-1960); Architect's plans for Corporation of Bristol (20th century); Corporation building control plans (1851-1947). Special collections include plans of estates and collieries in Somerset, Gloucestershire, etc. owned by the Smyth family of Ashton Court (17-20th centuries); maps and plans of J.P. Sturge & Sons (Surveyors), chiefly of Somerset and Gloucestershire (18-20th centuries).
