Circa 12,000 items. All current O.S. maps of Bucks. at scales 1:50,000 and larger. OS 1:10,560 1st ed. (1880), 2nd ed. (1900), and Provisional ed. (1960); 1:2,500 (1925), and 1:25,000 (1960) for Buckinghamshire. Also Geological Survey, land utilisation and agricultural land classification maps for the county. MSS maps including estate maps, enclosure and tithe maps, other official maps and plans (footpaths, railways, etc.). Older editions of OS 1:10,560, 1:2,500 and 1:500 for Buckinghamshire.

A few military maps and early American maps are included with private manuscript collections.

Publications include Catalogue of Maps (Occ. Publ. 3, 1961) (out of print).

Aerial photographs (various) - small number from 1920s, mostly 1940s-1970s.

Prior appointment is required for use of maps as space is limited, please specify if a map table is required. Please note that no documents will be produced after 16:45 (Tues-Fri) or between 12:00-14:00 or after 15:15 on Saturdays.
