Circa 4,000 printed and 500 manuscript maps and atlases of Berkshire, including estate plans, enclosure and tithe maps, and early OS large scale plans. Some 18th century mapping of India.
Publications include A Catalogue of Inclosure Maps in the Berkshire Record Office comp. by P. Walne (out of print).
We have published a CD of the 1st edition OS 6 inch survey for Berkshire, that is available for sale via BRO, and constructed a website of Parliamentary enclosures for Berkshire at www.berkshirenclosure.org.uk.
