Surrey Archaeological Society

Approx. 1,700 sheets. Historical maps of Surrey and neighbouring counties. Includes pre-OS maps; OS maps of varying scales and dates; also MS maps, e.g. estate maps, and copies of originals held elsewhere.

Of interest are the GARDNER COLLECTION (42 county maps from Saxton to Greenwood) and the HOOPER COLLECTION (a set of OS 1:63,360 Old Series (or First Edition)).

Note: Surrey Record Office (same building) now holds the Society's manuscript archive collections.
