For those who are new to the British Cartographic Society, Maplines is one of the official magazines of the Society, published three times a year - Spring, Summer, and Winter. It serves as a platform for professionals, students, and mapping enthusiasts to share their experiences and advancements in the fields of cartography and geographic information.
Our goal is to highlight your latest developments, innovations, and best practices in mapping, cartography, and geospatial endeavours. From industry updates on trends and technologies to case studies that present practical applications, the magazine is designed to inform and inspire. It also includes educational content and discussions to encourage knowledge sharing. In addition to this, Maplines provides updates on Society activities, including Annual Reports, upcoming events and conferences [save the date for BCS Conference, 3-4 Sept. 2025].
